There are 14 automotive brands owned by Stellantis but of them, just a single one will be present at the IAA Mobility event in Munich, Germany running from September 5-10.

A Stellantis spokesperson recently confirmed to Auto News Europe that Opel will be the only one of its brands at the event. That’s disappointing news for those planning to attend the event and means other prominent Stellantis brands like Peugeot, Citroen, Fiat, and Jeep won’t be showcasing their latest models, despite all selling vehicles in Europe.

It is understood that Opel will use the event to highlight its electrification shift and use it to showcase the Astra Sports Tourer Electric for the very first time in public. Auto News notes that the 2024 Corsa Electric unveiled just a few days ago will also be on display.

Opel has confirmed that the Corsa Electric will be offered with two powertrain options. These will consist of an entry-level variant with an electric motor delivering 134 hp and 222 miles (357 km) of range. It will also be available with a 154 hp electric motor and a 54 kWh battery pack that provides the compact hatchback with 252 miles (406 km) of range.

The powertrain of the Astra Sports Tourer Electric is very similar. In fact, it also consists of a single front-mounted electric motor with 154 hp and 199 lb-ft (270 Nm) of torque that is also fed by a 54 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. It has a quoted range of 258 miles (416 km) and the battery can be charged to 80% capacity in 30 minutes through a 100 kWh DC fast charger.

A third model will also be showcased by Opel at the Munich event but according to the firm, it “remains a surprise for now.”
