RAM just dropped the new Lunar special edition for the 1500 Rebel and 1500 TRX. This moon-themed model adds an all-new Ceramic Gray paint color and what RAM calls “even more personalization straight from the factory.”

To its credit, RAM says that the Lunar Editions are a direct result of customer feedback. “Our passionate customers tell us their Ram trucks are an extension of their personality that allows them to stand out from the crowd.

The Ram 1500 Rebel and TRX Lunar editions are great-looking trucks with easy-to-use features that do just that,” said Mike Koval Jr., Ram brand CEO – Stellantis. “We continue to listen to and deliver for them by offering the best combination of unique exterior and interior appointments and content for even greater personalization.”

RAM Unveils New 1500 Rebel And TRX Lunar Editions But Doesn’t Shoot For The Moon With Either

It’s worth noting that these aren’t RAM’s version of the Dodge Jailbreak series. In that case, Hellcat customers could combine equipment that they previously couldn’t. RAM is simply offering a new edition with special paint and most of the top options that were already available. For example, the 1500 Rebel Lunar Edition isn’t available with the V6 that the normal Rebel is.

What it does come with is the 5.7-liter Hemi V8, an eight-speed automatic gearbox, and the Level 2 equipment group. That package includes a 12-inch Uconnect 5 infotainment system, black wing mirror caps, heated front seats, an 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, and 18-inch gloss black wheels.

The 1500 TRX Lunar Edition comes with the Level 2 equipment group as well. It also gets the same supercharged 6.2-liter V8 from the normal (if you can call it that) TRX. Interestingly, RAM does add special Surf Blue accent stitching and the carbon-fiber package which features a flat-bottomed steering wheel and real carbon fiber trim. The Lunar Edition also gets 18-inch beadlock-capable wheels, a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, a spray-in bedliner, cargo tie-downs, and an LED cab-mounted brake light.

RAM says that both Lunar editions will be available in “extremely limited quantities later this spring.” There’s no specific word on just how limited they’ll be but RAM did spill the tea regarding pricing. The 1500 Rebel Lunar Edition starts at $70,310, plus a $1,895 destination fee. The 1500 TRX requires the same destination fee on top of an MSRP of $106,445.
