Getting attention with your car in a glitzy city like Miami isn’t easy but the Vetter Slash just might do it. Under the skin, it’s mostly a C6 Corvette and as such it packs an appropriately powerful LS2 V8 with roughly 400 hp. Now, it can be yours for a cool $115,000.
The Slash is a creation of its namesake, Mike Vetter. He’s built a number of wild vehicles including the Extra-Terrestrial Vehicle, which is basically a Chevy Cobalt hidden beneath a spaceship. While the ETV is slow and somewhat challenging to drive, the Slash is fast and ready for top-down fun.
According to the listing, this car has just 270 miles on the clock and features “factory fit and finish without any loose parts.” That’s a big deal for a car that’s put together in this fashion. For the most part, every body panel you see here is a custom fiberglass creation by Vetter. The rear-hinged doors add even more drama to a design that screams “Look at me.”

The interior features a mix of custom pieces and off-the-shelf parts. That includes a fully-digital gauge cluster, a tablet-style infotainment system, and climate control vents with adjustable LED lighting around them. Bluetooth and integrated navigation are included as well.
It even has a backup camera and a backlit Vetter badge on the rear bumper. Just like the original Corvette that this car started out as there’s a full cargo space behind the passenger compartment. It’s almost practical. Of course, maintaining it might not be so easy.
Sure, the 20-inch wheels use readily available tires and the LS2 V8 and the automatic transmission it’s mated to should last for years but what happens in the event of body damage? I also don’t want to imagine what it might be like to replace one of those headlight bulbs.
Having seen one of these, maybe even this exact car, in person I can confirm that the fiberglass work is outstanding. Some of the interior pieces I saw were still unfinished so what we see here in the listing on eBay looks fantastic by comparison. Maybe it’s worth taking a chance on. It’ll surely turn heads wherever it goes.
