The Honda Prologue continues its slow march to production and the automaker has announced the electric crossover will feature Google built-in.
This isn’t surprising since Acura already revealed the ZDX would have Google integration, but the technology will come standard, unlike in the Accord where it’s limited to the range-topping Touring trim.
More importantly, Google built-in delivers a smartphone-like experience on the Prologue’s 11.3-inch infotainment system. As the name suggests, Google Maps, Google Assistant, and Google Play will be built-in and provide easy access to third-party apps as well as navigation information.

Speaking of the latter, “Google Maps offers optimized route planning for recharging and finding charging stations along the way to minimize travel time.” It can also estimate the charging time required to reach your destination and can initiate preconditioning of the battery when your destination is a DC fast charging station.
Besides Google built-in, the Prologue will have wireless Apple CarPlay. Drivers will also find an 11-inch digital instrument cluster, a pocket-type wireless smartphone charger, an available head-up display, and an optional 12-speaker Bose premium audio system.
While Honda unveiled the Prologue last October, the model is still months away as pre-orders won’t start until this fall. The GM-based EV will then arrive at dealerships in early 2024.
