The Kia Telluride is a hot commodity and the company is on track to sell more than 100,000 units in the United States this year. With momentum like that, Kia isn’t letting off the gas and has announced a handful of updates to the 2024 model.
Since the crossover received a facelift last year, the updates are relatively minor and include new amber daytime running lights. That isn’t the only change as the off-road focused Telluride X-Line and X-Pro trade dark metallic accents for gloss black trim on the bumpers, doors, grille surround, and headlight bezels.
While the updates are small, so are the price increases as the 2024 Telluride LX starts at $35,990 before a $1,365 destination fee. That’s a slight increase of $100, although some trims see a $200 increase.

Since this is just a minor model year update, we’ll note the entry-level LX comes nicely equipped with LED lighting units and 18-inch alloy wheels. Buyers will also find SynTex seats, a dual-zone automatic climate control system, a push-button ignition, and a 12.3-inch infotainment system.
The Telluride comes with a host a standard driver assistance systems including Blind Spot Collision Warning, Forward Collision Warning, and Forward Collision Avoidance with Pedestrian and Cyclist Detection. Buyers will also find High Beam Assist, Highway Driving Assist, and Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go. Rounding out the highlights are Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Avoidance Assist, Safe Exit Assist, Rear Occupant Alert, and a Rear View Monitor with parking guidance.
Power is provided by a familiar 3.8-liter V6 engine that produces 291 hp (217 kW / 295 PS) and 262 lb-ft (355 Nm) of torque. It’s connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission, which can be paired to an all-wheel drive system that costs $2,000 on most trims. This setup enables the Telluride to return an EPA-estimated 20 mpg city, 26 mpg highway, and 22 mpg combined with front-wheel drive. Those numbers drop 2 mpg, across the board, with all-wheel drive.
