The second-generation Skoda Kodiaq is baring it all as the automaker has revealed its body-in-white.

While there isn’t much to see, the crossover will have an evolutionary hood which adopts a sunken center section. We can also see streamlined bodywork that eschews the prominent character line found on today’s model.

Additional details are hard to make out, but it appears the 2024 Kodiaq will adopt a more rakish windscreen. We can also get an idea of what the new taillights will look like.

Besides teasing the crossover, Skoda revealed the Kodiaq will go into production next year and continue to be made in Kvasiny. The automaker also confirmed the next-generation Superb is moving to Bratislava in early 2024, “thus freeing up capacity for some 150,000 additional units of the popular Kodiaq and Karoq SUVs annually.” When production is fully ramped up, Skoda will be able to build up to 410 Kodiaq crossovers every day.

Skoda is staying tight-lipped on specifications, but the model will debut this fall with “modern and efficient petrol and diesel engines.” They’ll be joined by mild hybrid technology as well as the Kodiaq’s first plug-in hybrid powertrain.

We’ll learn more details in the coming months, but the automaker said the second-generation Kodiaq will be taken to a “new level” in terms of safety, technology and versatility. The company also said the crossover has “all the prerequisites to build on its predecessor’s success.”
