Aston Martin unveiled the DB12 two weeks ago, but the company isn’t slowing down as they’re preparing to launch an assortment of new models.
Speaking with Autocar, Executive Chairman Lawrence Stroll said Aston Martin will reveal its future plans at a capital markets day event on June 27. While full details will be announced later this month, officials said the company’s first electric vehicle is slated to arrive in 2026 and be a “new product” on a “new platform.”
This suggests the model will be all-new, rather than an existing vehicle with electrification. Little else is known about the EV at this point, but Stroll told the publication “I don’t have many customers asking me for a BEV.” However, he seems more excited about plug-in hybrids as he said they’ll “last well into the 2030s.”

In the near term, Aston Martin is focused on refreshing its ‘mainstream’ lineup and a DB12 Volante will be the next to arrive. The Vantage will follow “shortly after” and it will reportedly become more performance focused to distance itself from the DB12.
Officials didn’t go into many specifics, but Chief Creative Officer Marek Reichman described the model as a “complete hooligan” and said the “next Vantage can separate from a DB12 with huge performance.” He went on to suggest the DBS successor will be “completely different to both of them.”
Spy photographers have already snapped the upcoming Vantage and the model will adopt a more traditional Aston Martin aesthetic. The biggest changes occur up front as the car gains larger headlights and a ‘right-sized’ grille. They’re joined by a ventilated hood and a more curvaceous front bumper. The rest of the design largely carries over, aside from a slightly sportier rear bumper that echoes the one found on the limited edition V12 Vantage.
