I must admit that I wasn’t won over by the design of the new Lamborghini Revuelto when it was first unveiled online by the car manufacturer. However, after watching this video of a bright blue example lapping the Nurburgring, I now think Lamborghini has absolutely nailed its design and created something that looks even better than its predecessor, the Aventador.

This particular Revuelto appears to be owned by Lamborghini itself and is being used for some final development. It is also possible that the brand is using it to fine-tune the settings it may need should it decide to set an official ‘Ring lap time in the car. If it does, there’s every chance it will be easily the fastest road-going Lamborghini to ever lap the circuit, a crown currently held by the Aventador SVJ with a time of 6:44.97.
The color adorning this Revuelto is known as Blu Aegir and suits the car absolutely perfectly. While a color like this would seem a little excessive for a Ferrari, it works brilliantly on the Raging Bull, particularly when paired with the black wheels and black diffuser. If you can somehow direct your eyes away from the blue paint and all of the car’s beautiful surfaces, the pronounced LED daytime running lights immediately stand out, as do the massive front air intakes, the high-mounted dual exhausts, and the LED taillights.
Round beneath the skin of the Revuelto is the car manufacturer’s familiar 6.5-liter naturally-aspirated V12 that is good for 814 hp and 535 lb-ft (725 Nm) of torque. Lamborghini has then hooked this V12 up to three electric motors, including two 148 hp units at the front wheels and a 34 hp motor inside the dual-clutch transmission. All up, the car delivers 1,001 hp, can hit 62 mph (100 km/h) in 2.5 seconds, 124 mph (200 km/h) in less than 7 seconds, and a 217 mph (350 km/h) top speed.
