We were thrilled to see that Nissan has already started the teaser campaign for the high-performance 2024 Z Nismo. Fans in California will doubtless be even more excited to discover that they will be able to see it in person on August 1 at – where else? – ZCON 2023.
Although there’s reason to believe that there may be a digital reveal of the car before then, we now know that the 2024 Nissan Z Nismo will be unveiled by, at the latest, August 1. Although many question marks remain for the new car, the base Z is pretty good, so it’s hard to imagine the Nismo being a disappointment.
The show hosting the new sports car for one of, if not the first public appearance is the 36th annual ZCCA Z car convention, known as ZCON. The show is held at the Ontario Convention Center, near Los Angeles, California.

The convention hosts a judged car show, vendors, sponsors, special guests, area drives, and a social night at a nearby brewery. In addition, a track day will be held at Willow Springs International Raceway in conjunction with the event.
ZCON 2023 runs from July 31 to August 5, and the 2024 Nissan Z Nismo will make its debut on August 1. By then, we will likely know if the car’s 3.0-liter V6 engine churns out 500 hp (373 kW/507 PS), as rumors suggest.
We will also know if the high-performance model comes with a manual transmission. So far, Nissan’s teaser has only shown it with an automatic, and reports suggest that the nine-speed will be the only option, unlike the standard model.
We know for certain that the car will be offered with a variety of aesthetic upgrades, such a red line along the lowermost boundary of the body, nine-spoke wheels, a new front bumper, and Nismo badges around the body and interior.
We don’t yet know precisely when Nissan plans to fully unveil the new model, but keep an eye on this space for more details as they become available.
