The Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170 has earned its place in the history books as the most insane muscle car ever created. However, if you didn’t act fast, you likely weren’t able to secure one of the 3,000 units destined for the United States.
If you’re in that boat, you’re getting a second chance as Barrett-Jackson will auction a Demon 170 on June 24 in Las Vegas. There’s no auction estimate, but the model will likely fetch far more than its $96,666 sticker price.

The listing is light on specifics, but notes the “winning bidder will be able to select from all factory options offered and have the exclusive opportunity to select a custom exterior paint color to make this Demon 170 a one-of-one car.” On top of that, 100% of the hammer price will benefit the Kristi House charity, which is “dedicated to eradicating child abuse and child sex trafficking.” If that wasn’t a good enough cause, the charity is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and that implies tax benefits for the winning bidder.
Of course, the car is the star and the Challenger SRT Demon 170 doesn’t need any introduction. However, we’ll remind you the model features a completely reimagined 6.2-liter V8 that boasts a 3.0-liter supercharger as well as upgraded internals. Thanks to this and other changes, the engine develops 900 hp (671 kW / 913 PS) and 810 lb-ft (1,097 Nm) of torque when running on E10. That jumps to 1,025 hp (764 kW / 1,039 PS) and 945 lb-ft (1,280 Nm) of torque on E85.
Thanks to the insane output, the car rockets from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 1.66 seconds with a rollout. Moreover, it can run the quarter mile in 8.91 seconds at 151.17 mph (243.28 km/h).
