Singer Vehicle Design, known for making amazing 911 restomods, teased a new project on social media, creating excitement amongst its fans prior to its debut later today. The single photo reveals the ultra-wide rear fender and large wing of a mysterious model, which looks like a homage to the 935.
The 911-based nature of the build is evident from the shape of the Lexan rear side windows, although we suspect that the vast majority of the orange-painted bodywork will be redesigned – and probably made of carbon fiber. Besides the sexy fenders with the integrated side intakes and the aerodynamic tail with side-mounted exhaust pipes, another highlight is the unique two-piece wheels. The rims feature a multi-spoke pattern that is finished in gold, black, and white and are shod in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, hinting at some pretty serious performance.

The original Porsche 935, produced between 1976 and 1981, was a racing version of the 911 Turbo (930 generation) featuring a heavily redesigned body and a tuned twin-turbo 3.3-liter flat-six engine producing up to 845 hp (630 kW / 857 PS). The racer is famous for winning several endurance races including Le Mans, Sebring, Daytona, and Nurburgring.
In 2018, Porsche unveiled a modern reincarnation of the 935 based on the 911 GT2 RS (991), with a limited production of 77 units and a twin-turbo 3.8-liter flat six producing 691 hp (515 kW / 700 PS).
