Automobili Pininfarina has taken off the wraps to a special variant of the all-electric Battista hypercar dubbed the Edizione Nino Farina. The car celebrates the life and career of the first-ever F1 world champion Giuseppe ‘Nino’ Farina and will make its debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this weekend.
Just five examples of the Battista Edizione Nino Farina are scheduled for production and each car in the series celebrates one of five major milestones in the racer’s life. These milestones include his date and place of birth, his first ever F1 pole position and race win at the 1950 British Grand Prix, his second victory in 1950 at the Swiss Grand Prix, his third and final victory in 1950 at the Italian Grand Prix, and his 1950 F1 world championship victory.

The exterior of the latest creation from Pininfarina is bathed in a special shade of red dubbed Rosso Nino that pays homage to the cars Nino Farina raced. The car also adopts a special livery on the lower body that’s finished in Bianco Sestriere and Iconica Blu, including a pinstripe along the wing mirrors and on the underside of the rear wing. The Battista Edizione Nino Farina also has a Bianco Sestriere painted ‘01’ on the rear panel.
Pininfarina has also equipped the car with the Furiosa Pack which includes a more pronounced carbon fiber front splitter, side skirts, and rear diffuser. There is also a Bianco Sestriere pinstripe and black exposed signature carbon fiber throughout. Other eye-catching elements of the car include the black roof, the Exterior Jewellery Pack finished in brushed aluminum, black brake calipers, and new 10-spoke forged alloy wheels with a Satin Gold finish. The Italian marque has even engraved ‘Nino Farina’ into the headlight.
The special touches continue into the cabin with a two-tone theme where the driver’s seat is finished in black sustainable leather and the passenger seat is wrapped in beige and black Alcantara. The seats also have unique headrests and the car sports Iconica Blu seatbelts, beige and red contrast stitching, a 12 o’clock ring on the steering wheel, and a black anodized chassis plate.
No changes have been made to the car’s powertrain meaning it continues to sport four electric motors that combine to produce 1,900 hp and 1,725 lb-ft (2,340 Nm) of torque, allowing for a 0-62 mph (100 km/h) sprint of 1.86 seconds and a 217 mph (350 km/h) top speed.
“The Battista Edizione Nino Farina represents the vision of our talented Design team, paying an evocative tribute to an undisputed legend of the Pininfarina family and its heritage,” Automobili Pininfarina chief executive Paolo Dellachà said. “An untold story about the spirit and the courage of a man driven by a racing passion like no other.”
