To say the Cupra Leon Sportstourer looks like the Seat Leon Sportstourer is a bit like saying Superman resembles Clark Kent. However, that’s about to change and the updates will extend far beyond a pair of ‘glasses.’

As you can see in the latest batch of spy photos, the 2024 Cupra Leon Sportstourer will be getting a far more aggressive Tavascan-inspired facelift. The front end is all-new and features triangular headlights as well as a sizable intake with angular lines.

2024 Cupra Leon Sportstourer Spied Trying To Hide Its Seat Roots

While the camouflage hides a number of details, Cupra teased the facelifted Leon at last year’s Unstoppable Impulse event alongside the updated Formentor. As a result, we already know the model will feature a controversial look with a high-mounted black bar and fang-like accents.

The rear end appears to largely carryover, but there could be a lightly revised liftgate and updated badging.

It remains to be seen if the changes will extend to the engine compartment, but the current model offers an expansive list of options including 1.5- and 2.0-liter TSI four-cylinder units with outputs of 148 hp (110 kW / 150 PS), 188 hp (140 kW / 190 PS), and 242 hp (180 kW / 245 PS). Customers can also choose between plug-in hybrid options or a range-topping VZ with up to 306 hp (228 kW / 310 PS).
