The 2024 Formula 1 World Championship will be the longest in the sport’s history, covering 24 races and running from March 2 until December 8.
Given that the season will run for so long, Formula 1 has tried to better regionalize races in order to reduce the traveling that will be required. For example, the penultimate round in Qatar will run back-to-back with the season ending in Abu Dhabi while the Japanese Grand Prix has been brought forward to April 5-7 and will run two weeks after the Australian Grand Prix and two weeks before the returning Chinese Grand Prix, featured on the calendar for the first time since 2019.
Additionally, the Grand Prix in Baku, Azerbaijan has been moved from April to September. The opening two rounds in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia will see the races take place on Saturday to accommodate for Ramadan in the region.

“I am delighted to announce the 2024 calendar with 24 races that will deliver an exciting season for our fans around the world,” Formula 1 president and chief executive Stefano Domenicali said. “There is huge interest and continued demand for Formula 1, and I believe this calendar strikes the right balance between traditional races and new and existing venues.”
The only all-new race next year will be a much-anticipated Grand Prix in Las Vegas. Teams and drivers will also have to deal with three triple-headers where there will be races over three consecutive weekends. The first of these will be Spain (June 21-23), Austria (June 28-30), and the UK (July 5-7), followed by the USA (October 18-20), Mexico (October 25-27), and Brazil (November 1-3). The season will then conclude with a triple header in Las Vegas (November 21-23), Qatar (November 29-December 1), and Abu Dhabi (December 6-8).
