Mini is gearing up to introduce the next generation of its popular Hatch supermini and the versatile Countryman SUV. However, the expansion of its lineup doesn’t stop there. Mini enthusiasts can also look forward to the arrival of the all-new Mini Aceman crossover, set to make its debut in 2024. Now, a lightly camouflaged prototype of the Aceman was spotted, giving us a glimpse of its distinctive styling details.

The production model retains the basic characteristic of the Mini Aceman concept from last year, but some of the futuristic cues have been toned down.

In October 2022, we were treated to the first glimpse of the fully electric crossover through spy shots, showcasing a vibrant yellow camouflage wrap. Now, however, the revised camo is tighter, granting us a clearer view of the vehicle’s bodywork and design details. Notably, we can now observe the side inlets on the front bumper, which flank the fully covered grille and lower bumper intake. The headlights boast a rounded hexagonal shape and are prominently mounted on pronounced fenders, adding a touch of boldness to the overall appearance.

2025 Mini Aceman EV Spied Showing New Details

On the profile, we can see the angular treatment of the plastic cladding around the wheel arches, which is reminiscent of the limited production Mini Cooper JCW GP, albeit without the protruding elements. The prototype rides on a new set of large-diameter alloy wheels featuring a double-spoke design and a diamond-cut finish. The greenhouse is similar to the Mini Countryman but the overall silhouette is sportier and the footprint is smaller with an expected length of just over 4 meters (157.5 inches).

Moving to the rear of the vehicle, the development prototype now showcases the production taillights with Union Jack LED graphics, a signature feature found across the Mini lineup. Furthermore, the updated camouflage allows for a clearer view of the rear bumper, which incorporates a large diffuser. This design element suggests that the prototype in question may belong to a performance-oriented trim, emphasizing its sporty character.

Inside, we can see the large circular infotainment touchscreen sticking out of the dashboard, a feature that will be shared among all future Mini models, integrating the new personal assistant named Spike.

The Mini Aceman will reportedly ride on an EV-dedicated architecture developed in collaboration with Great Wall in China, just like the electric variant of the upcoming Mini Hatch. The crossover will likely available in single and dual motor guises, just like the rival smart #1, while offering a competitive zero-emission range.
