Hennessey still has dozens of Venom F5, F5 Roadster, and F5 Revolution models to deliver to customers but it is already thinking about what kind of car it will replace it with.
The Texas company was originally planning on replacing the Venom F5 with its ambitious Deep Space project. This project was first announced in late 2021 and is a six-wheeled EV with in excess of 2,000 hp, a targeted range of 620 miles (1,000 km), and seating for four people. It could almost be viewed as a McLaren Speedtail with two extra wheels, an all-electric powertrain, and one extra seat.
While Hennessey still plans to make this car a reality, John Hennessey recently told Top Gear that the firm’s customers want it to keep the combustion engine alive for as long as it can. As such, Hennessey is thinking of a new supercar to replace the Venom F5. This new model could launch in 2027 or 2028.
While John Hennessey is remaining tight-lipped about most of the company’s plans for its next supercar, he said that it will not attempt to break the 300 mph barrier like the Venom F5 nor will it have as much power.

Excitingly, John Hennessey said that the car manufacturer and tuner could take inspiration from the Porsche Carrera GT. That’s quite a compelling prospect and could mean that Hennessey is thinking about the possibility of giving the car a high-revving, naturally-aspirated engine. If paired with a manual transmission, such a vehicle could be among the last of a dying breed and would be a fitting send-off to combustion-powered supercars as we know them.
Hennessey did not say how far the planned Deep Space project has been pushed back. What we do know is that it will borrow its electric motors, inverters, and batteries from another supplier.
