The redesigned Range Rover appears to be a hit with current owners as S&P Global Mobility revealed the luxury SUV has the “most loyal repeat buyers so far in 2023.”
According to the firm, the model had a 41.1% loyalty rate through April which was the highest among vehicles with more than 350 return-to-market households. This enabled the Range Rover to squeak past the Ford F-Series, which had a loyalty rate of 41.0%. Third place went to the Tesla Model Y, which came in at 40.0%.

All three models far exceeded the industry average loyalty rate of 25.1% and this helped to raise the loyalty rates for their respective brands. As the company explained, “The Range Rover loyalty rate helped hoist parent Land Rover brand loyalty to 38.9% year-to-date – a 9.5 percentage-point increase year-over-year.” However, that pales in comparison to Tesla which led luxury brands with a 68.0% loyalty rate.
That being said, Range Rover is popular with current owners as the model won the 2022 S&P Global Mobility Loyalty Award for the Luxury Full-Size SUV segment. It could potentially repeat that feat if early trends continue.
As a refresher, the redesigned Range Rover celebrated its public debut at the 2021 Los Angeles Auto Show and U.S. deliveries began the following year. The 2024 model starts at $107,400 and comes with a turbocharged 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine developing 394 hp (294 kW / 400 PS) and 369 lb-ft (500 Nm) of torque. However, there’s no shortage of options including a $234,000 Range Rover SV Long Wheelbase with a twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 pumping out 606 hp (452 kW / 614 PS) and 553 lb-ft (749 Nm) of torque.
