Florida has a reputation for odd crashes and accidents but few sound as strange as this one. Evidently, a man claimed that a violent sneeze caused him to drive across five lanes before slamming into a concrete barrier. After the crash, a witness says that the man disappeared and that the car didn’t even belong to him.
Accidents happen all of the time and most are fairly innocuous. At least one person makes a poor judgment call and damages their car or worse. In this case, the driver of this Chevrolet Cruze told the person with the dashcam that they simply sneezed and lost control in the process. That’s quite the sneeze.
In the video we see the Cruze come up on the camera car in the HOV lane. Just as it transitions from the rear-facing camera to the front-facing camera the Chevrolet veers hard out of its lane, smashing through the HOV poles and across traffic. All of the hubcaps look like they bail out before it barrels into a concrete barrier and then a Hyundai hits it on the driver’s side.

[USA] He apparently “sneezed”
by u/DeadObjects in Roadcam
According to the witness, Reddit User DeadObjects, the driver said what he did about the sneeze and then left. “To nobody’s surprise he left the scene on foot acting like he was on a call. He had no insurance and the car was not even registered to him,” they say. The dashcam owner says that one of the hubcaps hit his vehicle which is why he stopped in the first place.
The Chevrolet Cruze driver might have gotten away for now but the original poster says that he gave the dashcam footage to the Hyundai driver. Hopefully, that settles any question with their insurance about who’s at fault and how quickly the whole thing went down. Totaling someone else’s car without insurance is nothing to sneeze at but we’re glad that it seems serious injury was avoided.
