A series of images of the overhauled interior of the 2025 Mini Cooper EV have been published by the car manufacturer, revealing a design that neatly combines elements of Mini models from yesterday with the modern technologies that customers expect nowadays.

The most eye-catching element of the new car’s interior is the central screen. Minis are famous for their use of a single central dial but for the new car, the car manufacturer has ditched all physical gauges in favor of a massive, circular display with thin bezels that houses all the infotainment functions as well as displaying important driving data.

While dimensions for the screen have not yet been announced, it looks to be about half the size of the steering wheel and appears to have surprisingly simple graphics and text. These images also show that Mini has given the 2025 Cooper EV a head-up display, although it is one of the less advanced pop-up head-up displays that are becoming increasingly uncommon and ditched in favor of those that display directly onto the windshield.

The dashboard of the new electric Mini Cooper is also quite intriguing. It appears to be wrapped in fabric and has ambient lights neatly incorporated into it. You may also notice the simple door panels and the new steering wheel. Mini has also incorporated some small toggle switches just below the central screen, including a switch for the gear selector.

The updated interior of the Cooper EV complements the revised exterior where you will find newly-shaped LED headlights and taillights.

While Mini has not yet launched the new car, it has confirmed that the Cooper E will be equipped with a 40.7 kWh battery and an electric motor with 181 hp. The sportier Cooper SE gets a larger 54.2 kWh battery and a more powerful electric motor with 215 hp. The models are expected to have a range between 186 miles and 249 miles (300-400 km) respectively.
