The Buick Wildcat EV is very much a concept but its design will influence future models from the car manufacturer. It’s fitting then that it stars in a new video from the General Motors Design page on Instagram that shows an animated version of it on the road looking oh-so sexy.
The video starts out by showing a woman walking into a garage filled with various Buick models, all of which look quite bland. As she walks through the garage, the headlights of these vehicles slowly turn off, signifying their retirement from Buick’s range. The woman then reaches a garage door which opens up to reveal a Wildcat EV finished in a bright shade of orange. It is the future of Buick.

Although the video has been animated, it is incredibly detailed and the footage of the concept in the garage and out on the open road is quite realistic. Were Buick to build a road car that looks as sexy as the Wildcat EV, we’re sure it would prove to be a hit based on looks alone.
Buick lifted the veil on the Wildcat EV Concept at last September’s Detroit Motor Show. One of its most striking elements is the front end where there is a trapezoidal grille and a set of particularly sharp LED headlights. Interestingly, the lights of the orange car in the clip appear slightly slimmer than those of the real concept car and in our opinion, look even better.
The carmaker also went to town on the car’s interior to make it feel unlike any current Buick production model. Found in front of the driver is a sleek three-spoke steering wheel with bright silver accents and white leather. There is also an expansive screen encompassing the digital instrument cluster and the infotainment display. A third screen is also featured on the floating center console.
