Update: These videos are now deleted from Reddit but we’re working on finding mirrors.
Road rage is always a bad idea but in rare cases, people are dumb enough to engage in road rage before posting the video online themselves. That’s the case here where a driver engaged with another in a pointless spat on the highway and the whole thing comes to an end after what looks a lot like a police-style PIT maneuver.
The poster of said video, u/Apprehensive-Box4495 over on Reddit, originally posted a video with a long title starting with “What lead [SIC] up to me being hit on the highway.” He also says that “In the end of the video you can see him make contact with my bumper.” In fact, we cannot see that as it doesn’t happen in the clip related to this post. We’ll come back to that though.
What is visible in the video is how Apprehensive-Box4495, AB from here on out, seems to accelerate and then pass the Buick driver on the right. While both parties are already making mistakes at that point, it’s worth noting that AB seems to then cut the Buick off as he moves into lane one.
Despite that, it seems like he knows the road well because he immediately shifts again to the left to take advantage of a new lane that opens up. That’s when the trouble begins.

What lead up to me being hit on the highway. This is what happened before. In the end of the video you can see him make contact with my bumper. As you can see he clearly didn’t want me to pass him and paced that car in front of me. I am the “[OC]”

Moments later the Buick comes back into view in lane two, swoops into lane one just ahead of AB, and clearly brake-checks him. AB continues to drive forward despite the fact that the Buick is now riding the line between lanes one and two just ahead of him. Only a few seconds into a second clip AB also posted we see the two cars seem to make contact while still flowing at highway traffic speeds.
Then, about four seconds into the second video it appears that AB steers back toward the right and the Buick begins to lose control. It’s clear from the video that the Buick is countersteering to try and stay pointed straight but the force is causing the rear of the car to move right. That countersteering doesn’t help either as the last we see of the Buick is as it’s barreling toward the median and oncoming traffic.
In the milliseconds that pass between the potential contact and the Buick leaving the roadway, AB’s vehicle swerves hard right into lane two. He actually ends up dipping into lane three before correcting to recenter in lane two. Finally, he seems to understand the severity of the situation and pulls over. Did he actually PIT the Buick like we’ve seen police do so many times? If he did, did he intend to do that? It’s impossible to be sure.
As of this writing, there’s no word on what happened to the Buick driver but AB’s account on Reddit is suspended. Neither one of these folks is going to win any driving awards in the future but it’s great proof that road rage knows no bounds.
The aftermath of an idiot. He was being a dick about letting me pass. Finally get around him and he does this. I am the “[OC]”
