The production run of the Bugatti Chiron is nearly over but that won’t stop the Molsheim brand from unveiling yet another special example of the hypercar. A gold-themed Chiron Super Sport will debut on August 10 before being displayed at The Quail, showcasing what the Bugatti Sur Mesure personalization program can do.
The teaser photo and short video shared on social media reveal the profile of a Bugatti Chiron Super Sport with its characteristic long-tail design. The model appears to feature a custom gold-brown exterior shade, combined with five-spoke alloy wheels.

The company published a second photo on Instagram showing sketches of the Chiron Super Sport and the Veyron SS created with a gold pencil on a black background. The company describes the vehicle as a “timeless and incomparable homage to the era-defining moments in the history of Bugatti”, which means there will probably be references to older Bugatti models.
We don’t expect any differences in the quad-turbo 8.0-liter W16 engine which makes 1,578 hp (1,176 kW / 1,600 PS) in the Chiron Super Sport and allows an electronically limited top speed of 273 mph (440 km/h).
Chances are that the latest Chiron Super Sport will be a one-off created for a special client, following the example of other beauties from the Bugatti Sur Mesure program. It remains to be seen if this is going to be the last special Chiron before the hypercar gives way to its yet-unnamed successor that’s expected to debut in 2024. Bugatti will have built a total of 500 units of the Chiron when production officially stops, including all of the limited production variants, few-offs, and one-offs.
