Parking near bodies of water is usually safe, as long as you keep a safe distance and remember to apply the handbrake. Unfortunately, this wasn’t the case with a Honda Brio in India, which rolled into a pond putting the lives of a father and his 12-year-old daughter at risk. Thankfully people were there to save them from drowning, as the city car was slowly sinking in the background.
Footage from the scene that was shared on Reddit and on Twitter shows the terrifying moment when the little Honda rolls off the side of the cliff and splashes into the water after hitting the rocks. A man who was trying to stop the vehicle also fell on his back, narrowly avoiding the rocks. A female, who is reportedly the teenage daughter of the driver, can be heard screaming in terror as some of the shocked bystanders rush for help.

To drive a car to the edge of a waterfall
by u/nandu911 in therewasanattempt
As reported by Times Now, the incident happened at the Lodhia Kund waterfall in the Madhya Pradesh region of India. According to the witness who shot the video, the car started rolling away after its trunk was closed forcefully, supposedly because the handbrake wasn’t applied correctly.
Authorities blame the “negligent parking” for the unfortunate jump as the vehicle shouldn’t have been that close to the edge of the cliff. This is not the first time such an accident happens in the waterfalls which attract a lot of tourists during this period of the year. Luckily, this time there were no casualties or serious injuries involved.
