Hyundai announced a new Adventure trim for the Creta in India, which aims to give the best-selling SUV a more rugged appearance. The Hyundai Creta Adventure appeared in a series of teasers, highlighting the extra bits and pieces that distinguish it from the lesser variants.

The model gets a new pair of side gills on the front fenders, with chrome detailing and Adventure lettering. While the trim pieces look like intakes they only serve a decorative purpose. The Hyundai emblems are painted in black, matching the plastic cladding around the bodywork. Speaking of which, the profile got a greater dose of protective trim alongside aluminum-style inserts on the side sills looking like steps.

The Creta Adventure rides on a set of black-painted 18-inch wheels which are borrowed from the longer Alcazar. The latter could also get a similar trim in the future, as it shares a great deal of its exterior with the Creta. Behind the wheels which are purposely dirty in the teaser shots, we can see the red-painted brake calipers.

Hyundai keeps its cards closed in terms of the specifications of the Adventure-badged Creta but chances are there will be no mechanical changes compared to lesser trims. This means it will be available with either naturally-aspirated petrol, turbocharged petrol, or diesel powertrains, and paired to a manual or an automatic transmission. In any case, the Creta is a FWD-only model so the Adventure certainly won’t offer AWD capability.

While the Indonesian-spec Hyundai Creta features a Tucson-inspired face in Indonesia since 2022, other markets like India and Brazil have had the same looks since the second-gen model was originally introduced in 2020. Chances are that Hyundai plans on facelifting the SUV sometime in the next few years, which explains the need for more special trims like the Adventure and the Knight Edition which is already available in India.
