Monterey Car Week is shaping up to have more debuts than most auto shows and we’re adding one more to the list as Kia will use the event to introduce a new special edition.

The company didn’t go into many specifics, but said the EV6 will gain an “exclusive, style-driven” variant with a jolt of sophistication. Production will be limited to 1,000 units and Kia said the model will have “unique interior and exterior colorways.”

That’s not much to go on, but a window sticker surfaced on the KiaEVForums last month and showed an EV6 with a “N.A. SUV Of The Year Limited Edition Package.” It alludes to the crossover being named the 2023 North American Utility Vehicle of the Year and the model featured a Deep Forest Green exterior just like the teaser. Besides the special paint job, the package reportedly includes gloss black exterior accents and a unique desert beige interior with special badging as well as a unique pattern on the dashboard.

The window sticker suggested the special edition is based on the EV6 GT-Line, although we can expect to learn full details on August 18.

Besides the EV6, Kia will showcase the EV9 which is billed as the “flagship of the brand’s global Plan S strategy.” The model celebrated its U.S. debut in New York earlier this year and is slated to arrive in the fourth quarter.

The electric crossover rides on the E-GMP platform and will be launched with a handful of different powertrains. The entry-level model has a 76.1 kWh battery pack that powers a rear-mounted motor producing 215 hp (160 kW / 218 PS). Customers can also get a rear-wheel drive variant with a larger 99.8 kWh battery that increases the range to approximately 300 miles (483 km). There will also be a dual-motor all-wheel drive variant packing 379 hp (283 kW / 384 PS).
