The BMW M3 has spawned some incredible derivatives over the decades and one of our favorites has always been the E92-generation Lime Rock Park Edition.
BMW built the car for just the 2023 model year in the U.S., in 200 examples only. Each car left the factory painted in Fire Orange, the same color that adorned the E92 M3 GTS, and this particular example features a host of upgrades that could fool you into thinking it is an M3 GTS and is perfectly suited to the wealthy track day enthusiast.
The listing on Bring a Trailer reveals that the car has been equipped with Ground Control coilovers and Koni dampers to vastly improve its handling credentials. It is also sitting on 18-inch forged wheels wrapped in 263/35 Yokohama Advan A052 tires and has front and rear cross-drilled brake rotors. The car has also been fitted with an adjusted carbon fiber rear wing and was specced from the factory with both the Competition and Premium packages that added xenon headlights, rear parking sensors, a carbon fiber front splitter, carbon roof, and carbon rear lip spoiler.
A look at the car’s interior shows just how track-focused it is. Much of the cabin has been stripped out and it now features two fixed-back Recaro seats with Schroth multi-point harnesses. The door panels have also been modified with red pull straps, there are aluminum diamond plate panels on the floors, and there is a roll cage. The seller has also ditched the standard steering wheel in favor of a three-spoke unit from OMP.

In terms of the 4.0-liter naturally-aspirated V8, it has been outfitted with a K&N cold air intake, an aluminum coolant overflow tank, and an aftermarket axle-back exhaust. While we’re sure the car has been driven hard on the track, it only has ~19,000 miles (~30,500 km) on the odometer.
