Stellantis is expanding its presence in the second-hand market by bringing its SPOTiCAR program to the United States.
Designed to help customers avoid spotty used cars, the program aims to simplify and improve the purchasing experience by offering customers quality pre-owned Alfa Romeo, Chrysler, Dodge, Fiat, Jeep, and Ram vehicles.
The company said vehicles will be “selected, appraised and prepared by specialists.” This process will involve “comprehensive multi-point checks” before vehicles are sold to consumers.
Stellantis said eligible vehicles will be ten model years old or newer, have no frame damage, and sport a clean title. They’ll also be subjected to a 125-point inspection and a CarFax vehicle check.

Customers who buy SPOTiCAR vehicles through participating dealers will receive three months of roadside assistance, a minimum three-month warranty, and rental car reimbursement. This should help to alleviate fears of buying a lemon.
Stellantis’ Head of U.S. Sales, Jeff Kommor, said “The program is designed to create a stress-free experience for customers in search of a pre-owned vehicle.” He added, “Buyers can search the Stellantis brand vehicle of their choice through our designated SPOTiCAR website, and easily determine where to locate the one nearest to them before making their final purchase online or directly at the dealership.”
The SPOTiCAR website lists 19,288 vehicles as of this writing and they only go back to the 2013 model year. A quick search shows the cheapest is a 2014 Chrysler Town & Country for $8,992 with 107,832 miles (173,539 km) on the odometer. Speaking of the latter, 120,000 miles (193,121 km) is the cutoff point.
