The new Toyota GR Corolla is the hot hatch of the moment but unfortunately, it hasn’t taken long for the first damaged examples to pop up for auction across the United States.
The first GR Corolla we came across is a Core example painted in black and available through Copart in Exeter, Rhode Island. It has been listed with a salvage certificate and was wrecked with just 2,062 miles (3,318 km) under its belt. Interestingly, the damage sustained to it doesn’t appear to be too bad and it may only need a new rear bumper and taillights to look as good as new.
A second GR Corolla is also available through Copart, although this time it is painted white and it is the spicier Circuit Edition, complete with hood vents and a large rear spoiler. When viewed from the front, the driver’s side, and the rear, it looks brand new but sadly, the skin of the passenger-side rear door has been torn off and the rear wheel pushed out of position, indicating some significant suspension damage. Like the first one, it could probably be repaired quite easily or someone may buy it with the aim of stripping it down and selling the parts.

Copart also has a third GR Corolla available, this time a Core painted in red. It is available in California and has sustained the most significant damage of all three. The front end has clearly taken a heavy hit and both the front-mounted intercooler and radiator have been badly dented and damaged. The rear of the hot hatch has also been hit and the bumper is missing, as are one of the taillights and the rear mufflers.
Last but not least is a Toyota GR Corolla Core available through IAAI in North Hollywood, California. This car also has a salvage certificate and we can see the front bumper has been damaged, the front passenger-side quarter panel and wheel ruined, and one of the doors is bent out of position. This GR Corolla could also be stripped for parts quite easily or perhaps transformed into a track car.
