The EcoSport was the smallest member of Ford’s North American lineup throughout its lifecycle, but one owner clearly wanted to give his a more commanding road presence. The small SUV got an extended tail with the addition of a third axle in one of the most unconventional six-wheel conversions we have seen.
This unique example of the Ford EcoSport with the custom tandem axle and the two extra alloy wheels at the back, appeared on Facebook Marketplace. The seller suggests that the longer tail is perfect for advertising, something that is evident from the photos. The extra bodywork behind the rear doors doesn’t have any windows, serving as a canvas for vinyl stickers while a spoiler is attached at the end of the longer roof for style.

According to the listing, factory equipment includes leather seats, a moonroof, and a premium sound system among other amenities. Thankfully, the SUV also comes with a reversing camera and parking sensors as the extra length and wider blind spots would make it harder to park without them. Another good thing is that the stretched (and likely much heavier) EcoSport is based on the all-wheel-drive version that came fitted with the larger-displacement 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine producing 166 hp (124 kW / 168 PS).
The vehicle is located near the village of Ubly in Michigan. With an asking price of $16,500, this 2019 Ford EcoSport is certainly not cheap, but it would give you the bragging rights of owning a six-wheeler SUV that is probably more eye-catching than a supercar.
The second generation of the Ford EcoSport was introduced in 2012 and remained on sale in most parts of the world until 2022 after receiving two subsequent facelifts. In the US, the model was discontinued in mid-2022 without a planned successor, leaving the Maverick compact pickup as the cheapest Ford money can buy.
