If there is a car that personifies some of the wealth and excess in Los Angeles, it could very well be this Range Rover modified by 1016 Industries in partnership with RDBLA. It’s not the craziest Range Rover we’ve ever come across but it is striking enough to turn heads even if it were parked next to an exotic supercar.
Dubbed the ‘Silver Surfer,’ this Range Rover has been wrapped in an intriguing satin silver aluminum finish. We happen to think this wrap suits the luxurious and regal nature of the Range Rover absolutely perfectly and isn’t brash like a more striking color would have been. Then we have the wheels, provided by RDB LA.

These wheels measure a massive 26 inches in diameter, featuring a retro-inspired aerodisc design. While their size may have negatively impacted the ride quality of the Range Rover, their brushed aluminum finish perfectly complements the SUV’s wrap.
A subtle bodykit from 1016 Industries has also been installed. This kit includes a distinctive front lip, extended side skirts, more pronounced wheel arches, and a revised rear bumper with a diffuser and new tailpipe housings. The tuner has also installed a spoiler stretching out from the roof. These parts can be painted ($28,500), left as naked carbon fiber ($35,000), or made from forged carbon fiber ($40,000).
“The Range Rover is a difficult vehicle to modify with good taste,” 1016 Industries founder Peter Northrop described. “There are few aftermarket kits that are able to accurately match the style and elegance of the original Range Rover body while also adding to it in some way. I believe our newest widebody kit has been able to elevate this vehicle with seamless perfection.”
