Kia has decided to charge pretty much the same amount of money for the Niro EV in 2024 as it did last year. In all, the electric crossover’s price has risen by just $180 when both the MSRP and the destination charge have been considered.
For 2024, the Niro EV Wind opens the range, and will cost buyers $39,600, which is $150 more than it did last year. However, the cost of shipping has apparently risen a bit in the last 12 months, because Kia has also increased its destination charge by $30 to $1,350, for a total of $40,925.
Meanwhile, the higher-trim Niro EV Wave will start at $44,600 ($45,025 with destination charge), which once again is an increase of $150 over the 2023 model. All things considered, an increase of $180 will likely be manageable for most consumers.

Although the 2024 Niro EV is pretty much the same as last year, Kia is giving consumers a little more content for their extra $180. That includes a dual-level cargo floor. In terms of color options, the Fire Orange Metallic exterior paint has been removed from the Niro lineup, and the Niro EV Wind trim no longer includes the Light Grey interior color package.
As before, the Niro EV is powered by a 64.8 kWh battery that’s connected to a permanent magnet synchronous motor that develops 201 hp (150 kW/204 PS) and 188 lb-ft (255 Nm) of torque. On a single charge, the battery can ferry passengers up to 253 miles (407 km), the EPA estimates.
In terms of safety tech, the 2024 Niro EV will come with standard blind spot navigation, though the Wave trim gets collision avoidance, too. In addition, driver attention warning, high-beam assist, lane following assist, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, intelligent speed limit assist, and safe exit are all standard.
