The 2024 Kia Niro is currently arriving at U.S. dealerships and the company has announced the hybrid variant will be priced from $26,840.
Costing $250 more than its predecessor, the Niro largely carries over as it was redesigned last year. However, there are a handful of updates as Fire Orange Metallic paint is no longer available. A dual-level cargo floor has also been added to all trims, except the entry-level LX.
Speaking of the base trim, the Niro LX comes with an acoustic windshield, rear privacy glass, and 16-inch alloy wheels. Buyers will also find a 4.3-inch cluster display and an 8-inch infotainment system. They’re joined by cloth seats, a dual-zone automatic climate control system, and a four-speaker audio system.

On the safety front, there’s Forward Collision Avoidance Assist, Blind Spot Collision Warning, Lane Keep Assist, and Lane Departure Warning. The model also has Cruise Control, High Beam Assist, and Safe Exit Warning.
The $29,540 Niro EX is a significant step up, but it has heated cloth and leather front seats with ten-way power adjustment on the driver’s side. Buyers will also find rain-sensing wipers, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a larger 10.25-inch infotainment system with GPS navigation. They’re joined by a wireless smartphone charger, second-row air vents, and a Smart Key.
The EX also adds additional driver assistance systems including a fancier Forward Collision Avoidance Assist system with car, pedestrian and cyclist detection as well as junction turning support. There’s also Smart Cruise Control with Stop and Go as well as Rear Parking Distance Warning.
The $35,240 Niro SX Touring sits at the top of the range and has a sunroof, a power liftgate, and 18-inch alloy wheels. Buyers will also find a classier cabin with a heated leather steering wheel as well as vegan leather seats with heating and ventilation up front. Other highlights include ambient lighting, aluminum pedals, and an eight-speaker Harman Kardon audio system.
Regardless of which trim is selected, all Niro Hybrids are powered by a hybridized 1.6-liter engine that produces 139 hp (104 kW / 141 PS) and 195 lb-ft (264 Nm) of torque. It’s connected to a six-speed dual-clutch transmission, which enables the model to accelerate from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 10.4 seconds before hitting a top speed of 103 mph (165 km/h).
