The 2024 Opel Corsa Electric has been shown to the world for the first time at the Munich Motor Show and while it might not be the most compelling new EV launched this year, there’s still plenty to like about it.
Opel’s designers thoroughly updated the Corsa for the 2024 model year, not just in electric guise. For example, all new models receive a striking gloss black faux grille that can be complemented with more advanced Intelli-Lux LED headlights using matrix technology. This new fascia gives the Corsa more attitude without going over the top and becoming too aggressive like some other newly-launched hatchbacks.
In terms of power, the Opel Corsa Electric is powered by either a 50 kWh or 54 kWh battery pack that can be coupled to one of two available powertrains. The entry-level version has a single electric motor with 134 hp and the smaller of the two battery packs, resulting in a WLTP range of 222 miles (357 km). Those after a little more range and power can opt for the 54 kWh version with a 154 hp electric motor and 252 miles (406 km) of range.
While it is the Corsa Electric that has been unveiled in Munich, other powertrains are offered. For example, the Corsa is also sold with an entry-level petrol engine offered in 74 hp and 99 hp guises. Additionally, Opel also sells it with a 1.2-liter mild-hybrid in 99 hp and 134 hp forms.

Pricing details for the new 2024 Corsa have only been announced for the UK at this stage. It will start at £19,625 ($24,649) in Design trim while the mid-range GS will start at £22,005 ($27,638) and the Ultimate will be available from £25,605 ($32,160). As for the Electric versions, the 134 hp offering is available from £32,445 ($40,751) while the 154 hp model starts at £38,585 ($48,463).
