As the most shopped compact SUV in America, the Toyota RAV4 doesn’t need much improving, and for 2024, the automaker isn’t doing much. With a new color combination, a new cold weather package, and a few other features, it will be a very familiar lineup for the coming model year.
The 2024 RAV4 starts at $28,475 (all prices exclude $1,350 destination charge) with the internal combustion-only LE FWD trim, which is $900 more than Toyota was asking for before. However, with the rate of inflation, that’s a pretty mild increase as compared to its competitors.
The range tops out at $39,780 with the Limited e-AWD hybrid trim (an increase of $1,250 over the 2023 model). Meanwhile, the Woodland Edition e-AWD trim returns for its second year in the lineup. Starting at $34,695 (an increase of $1,670 over the 2023 model) it offers all-terrain tires, off-road suspension tuning, and more.

For 2024, the RAV4 Woodland Edition introduces a new optional Weather Package that adds heated front seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and rain-sensing intermittent windshield wipers with a de-icer function.
Also new are the two-tone color combinations that mix Army Green or Ice Cap with a Midnight Black Metallic roof. Buyers can also opt for the Midnight Black paint color and go for the ultra-subtle, single tone option. No matter which one you choose, the Woodland Edition gets 18-inch, six-spoke bronze TRD alloy wheels wrapped in Falken Wildpeak A/T tires. It also gets TRD-tuned suspension that’s engineered to enhance body control and small bump isolation for the trail (or particularly pot-holed city streets). Its coil springs are tuned for off-roading, and the bump stops work to maximize compression-direction wheel travel.
The Woodland, in addition to the rest of the RAV4 hybrid lineup, continue to be powered by Toyota’s 2.5-liter four-cylinder Dynamic Force Engine paired to the Toyota Hybrid System II. This offers drivers 219 hp (163 kW/222 PS) and an EPA estimated 37 MPG (6.3 L/100 km) combined. Internal combustion-only variants are also powered by the 2.5-liter engine, which gets 30 MPG (7.8 L/100 km) combined.
Inside, a familiar tech setup offers drivers a seven, a 10.5, or a 12.3-inch touchscreen that can be updated over the air. It comes with a voice assistant, cloud navigation, and new for 2024, an Integrated Streaming feature that allows owners to connect their personal Apple Music or Amazon Music subsrciptions to the vehicle to access their favorite tunes on the go.
The compact SUV will also include a familiar suite of safety technology and advanced driver assistance tech, including a rear-seat reminder that alerts drivers to a passenger in the rear seat when they exit their vehicle. The 2024 Toyota RAV4 is expected to arrive in dealerships later this year
