The Barbie movie dominated the summer box office by raking in over $1.4 (£1.1 / €1.3) billion worldwide. That’s quite a haul, but Mattel isn’t leaving money on the table as they’ve quietly announced plans to offer a 1:18 scale Corvette Stingray Convertible inspired by the one in the movie.

While it looks like your typical Lego Corvette at first glance, it certainly isn’t as Mattel and Lego are two different companies. As a result, Mattel turned to their own MEGA brand, which has previously created brick versions of the Aston Martin Vulcan and Tesla Cybertruck.

Their Barbie Corvette is made out of 805 bricks and features a bubblegum pink exterior that contrasts with rose gold accents as well as white flourishes. The model also has rolling white wall tires and movable doors. Rounding out the highlights are inline skates and a front-mounted ‘electric motor.’

The MEGA Barbie ‘56 Corvette Stingray costs $80 and is available for pre-order through October 26. However, don’t expect it to arrive in time for Christmas as the set is made-to-order and “ships on or before March 29, 2024.”

That’s far more affordable than the aforementioned Cybertruck, which costs $250 and is constructed out of 3,283 pieces. It’s undeniably cool and has an adjustable suspension, a working tonneau cover, and a folding tailgate.
