The phrase ‘drive it like you stole it’ is one that many of us take to mean something akin to ‘drive aggressively’. For one person behind the wheel of a Corvette, it appears to have meant a lot more. They not only caused their own single-vehicle crash but then sped away as though they had police on their tail. The whole thing was captured on a dashcam.
In this short video from Reddit, we see a Corvette entering the highway and somehow managing to crash despite no outside factors. This seems like an unforced error and the result is a Corvette that slams into the barrier on the right side of the highway.
The sports car then completes a full 360-degree spin across four lanes of the road. The driver finally gets the nose pointed in the right direction and instead of pulling over to assess the damage, they pull away at full speed. Of course, the video shows that they leave a few pieces behind in the process.

According to the poster, Erasemeee, this event happened on the southbound side of I-5 in Everett, Washington State. There’s no telling what was actually going on here or what caused the driver to drive away.
Perhaps we’re watching a criminal actually pilot a stolen car but it’s also possible that the driver simply wanted to get away from the embarrassment of the situation as quickly as possible.
Thankfully, every other driver on the road appears to notice the Chevrolet as the single-vehicle crash and subsequent spin-out is happening. As a result, they all slow down and give the driver about as much space as they can before he drives away. Whatever the case, we’re glad that it appears nobody was hurt.
