Tesla chief executive Elon Musk met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu earlier this week, giving him a tour of the automaker’s factory in Fremont, California before heading out on Tesla’s test track in a Cybertruck prototype.
A video released by the office of Netanyahu shows Israel’s leader sitting on an electric cart while traveling through the California factory with Musk. He was joined by his wife Sara on the tour and can be seen joking with Musk while exploring the facility. At one stage, Netanyahu took a seat in the rear of the Tesla Model X and appeared quite impressed with the EV.
Towards the end of his visit, Israel’s prime minister joined Musk inside a Cybertruck prototype. We can see the electric pickup’s LED ambient lighting system in all its glory and while the drive around the track appears to have been done at fairly average speeds, the four-wheel steering system of the truck can be seen in action, giving the pickup levels of maneuverability not normally seen in vehicles in this class.
Netanyahu also sat down with Musk for a discussion that was broadcast live. During these discussions, the prime minister urged Musk to fight antisemitism on X.
“I hope you can find within the confines of the First Amendment the ability to stop not only antisemitism, or roll it back as best you can, but any collective hatred of the people that antisemitism represents,” he said. “I encourage you to find the balance. It’s a tough one.”

The Washington Post states that antisemitic speech has “risen dramatically” since Musk’s takeover of Twitter. However, the world’s wealthiest person pivoted away from condemning antisemitism in his discussions with Netanyahu.
“Generally, I mean, I’m sort of against attacking any group,” he said. “You know, it doesn’t matter who it is… So, you know, obviously, I’m against antisemitism. I’m against anti, really, anything that promotes hate and conflict.”
