The facelifted Porsche 911 GTS has been spied testing and while we’ve seen 992.2 GTS vehicles testing throughout this year, this prototype is different as it is rocking the available Aero Package.
This 911 GTS tester was snapped by our eagle-eyed spy photographers near the Nurburgring and lacks any camouflage. Instead, black tape and covers have simply been placed across the exterior to hide some of the minor design changes. Many of the alterations have been made to the front of the car.

For starters, the new 911 GTS adopts much larger front air intakes with three horizontal slats. In addition, Porsche’s engineers have designed near vertical slats that sit behind these intakes that appear to be able to open when additional cooling is needed or closed when it isn’t. The headlights of the prototype are also new, although black tape covers some of the finer details, such as the revised LED daytime running lights.
The side of this prototype looks largely the same as the one we saw back in April. In fact, it is sporting the same set of center-locking wheels. Then we get to the rear. As part of the Aero Package, the car has a large rear wing, not dissimilar in design to that of the 991-generation 911 GT3. Porsche has also revised the LED taillights and light bar while also repositioning the two exhausts closer to the center of the bumper.
Details about the powertrain of the new 911 GTS remain unconfirmed. However, the presence of yellow stickers on the rear window of this car indicates that it has some form of hybrid system. Such a system should add some additional grunt to the six-cylinder while also improving fuel efficiency.
We were not able to get any up-close photos of the car’s interior but can say with certainty that the roll cage visible on this prototype will not find its way into production.
