Electric vehicles don’t come much more outlandish than the 2024 GMC Hummer EV SUV Edition 1 and the first 2024 example to ever hit the auction block is currently live in the U.S. It has only been driven 200 miles (320 km) and is one of approximately 2,500 examples built.

The exterior of the Hummer EV SUV Edition 1 is finished in Moonshot Green Matte, not only somewhat resembling the military green of original Hummers but also helping to accentuate some of the SUV’s more dramatic body lines and creases.

While it would be easy to think that the GMC Hummer EV SUV is essentially identical to its pickup truck brother but without an exposed bed, that’s not actually true. The SUV is 20 inches (508 mm) shorter than its sibling and its wheelbase is also 8.9 inches (226 mm) shorter. While most owners probably don’t take their Hummer EVs off-roading, they can enjoy some 13 inches (330 mm) of travel and 32 inches (813 mm) of water fording should they take it off the beaten path.

As an Edition 1 model, this particular example includes a power retractable tonneau cover, a 14-speaker Bose audio system, and additional storage under the rear seats. Other important features are an adaptive air suspension system, 4-wheel steering with a CrabWalk mode, an Infinity Roof with transparent Sky Panels, and heated, ventilated, and power-adjustable front seats.

Cars & Bids says that the Hummer is located in Arlington, Tennessee, and notes that it is being sold with two keys, the owner’s manual, and both a charger and adapter. As with all other Hummer EV SUV Edition 1 models, it is powered by a massive 212 kWh lithium-ion battery pack driving three electric motors that combine to produce 830 hp and 11,500 lb-ft of wheel torque, or closer to a conventional torque rating of around 1,000 lb-ft (1,356 Nm).
