Someone is in the midst of building a Lamborghini Urus with six wheels. Yes, you read that correctly. Somebody has decided to create a Urus 6×6 and when it’s complete, it’ll no doubt be one of the craziest SUVs on the planet.

Very few details are known about this Urus. The earliest video we have been able to find of it dates back to January this year and shows the SUV sitting outside a garage while partly built. It appears this video was snapped quite early on in the build process as the Lamborghini can be seen sitting on three different set of wheels (including a silver Mercedes-Benz wheel). A single photo of the car was recently shared on the CarLifestyle page on Instagram and appears to be more recent.

We have seen plenty of 6×6 conversions in recent years but ordinarily, they start out life as pickup trucks, meaning it is simply a matter of extending the bed to support another axle and two additional wheels. Given that the Urus is an SUV, the shop behind this creation has had to cut the roof from just behind the B-pillars and then extend it back. The standard front and rear doors appear to have been retained but the elongated roof has necessitated the fitment of a third side window.

Additionally, you’ll notice that the Lamborghini has new rear quarter panels and elongated rear wheel arches to fit the third axle. The original tailgate, rear window, and rear bumper appear to have been kept.

As standard, the Lamborghini Urus is one of the most striking SUVs on sale and has proven to be very popular. However, once this Urus 6×6 hits the streets, we suspect the owner will feel a sense of superiority wash over them as soon as they come across a regular one.
