The Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance 4-Door is one of the most remarkable performance sedans on sale and has received a handful of alterations for the 2024 model year. Sales of the updated model have just kicked off in Germany with prices starting from €207,708 ($218,884).

In refreshing the flagship version of the GT 4-Door, Mercedes-AMG took inspiration from the second-generation GT Coupe. As such, the four-door now sports a host of Coupe-inspired elements that include a revised grille with vertical slats and an element at its base painted in gloss black. The car then ditches the outgoing model’s large front air intakes in favor of more subtle vertical gills. The headlights have also been updated and the 2024 model can now be painted in Opalite White.

Some changes have also been made to the interior of the 2024 Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance 4-Door but they are minor. For example, an electric sunroof and a wireless smartphone charger between the rear seats now comes standard while the carmaker has also updated its MBUX multimedia system. This revised MBUX system has new AMG-specific displays and individually configurable functions.

Shoppers of 2024 models will also be pleased to learn that the thumping Burmester surround sound system now comes standard with Dolby Atmos, as does the optional Burmester High-End 3D surround sound system.

A multitude of optional packages are also available for the sedan. These include the AMG Aerodynamics package, AMG carbon exterior package, AMG chrome exterior package, AMG Night exterior package, and the AMG Night package II. Buyers can also order the new model with AMG Performance seats and a high-class rear seat package.

No alterations have been made to the car’s powertrain. As such, it continues to sport a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 paired with a hybrid system that makes for a combined 831 hp and 1,033 lb-ft (1,400 Nm) of torque. Power is sent through all four wheels courtesy of an AMG Speedhift MCT nine-speed transmission.
