The handsome Toyota Prius is back for 2024, and is almost identical to the 2023 model, apart from a few minor tweaks, and a $200 price increase across the range. In only its second year on sale since its fifth-generation overhaul, that’s not much of a surprise for the legendary hybrid.
Prices for 2024 start at $28,745 (all prices include $1,095 destination charge) with the front-wheel-drive LE grade. That’s an increase of $200 over the 2023 model, which started at $28,454.
Toyota has decided that it’s happy with the trim lineup this year, which is identical to 2023. It’s made up of the LE, XLE, and Limited trims, all of which are offered with either front- or all-wheel-drive. All available trim levels increase by $200 for the 2024 model year.

In addition, the 2024 Prius comes with a new lock and unlocking tone. Created by sound engineers, the tone was designed to be “pleasant, and distinct while indicating door lock and unlock.” The company says the volume of the tone can be adjusted in the infotainment system.
For 2024, the Prius is offered in six colors: Wind Chill Pearl, Cutting Edge, Guardian Gray, Midnight Black Metallic, Supersonic Red, and Reservoir Blue. Under the hood, the model’s 2.0-liter hybrid powertrain continues on for another year, and provides the FWD model with 194 hp (145 kW/197 PS) and the AWD model with 196 hp (146 kW/199 PS).
Toyota says that the 2024 Prius will reach dealer lots in November. Prices for the plug-in hybrid Prius Prime have not yet been revealed.
