Toyota recently introduced its latest addition to the growing Crown series in Japan, the Sport coupe-crossover, and their in-house tuning brand Modellista has wasted no time in offering a range of visual enhancements for the hybrid model, along with a selection of accessories, including a pillow bag.
Modellista’s body kit and new wheels aim to enhance the appearance of the Toyota Crown Sport, which has not yet received a Gazoo Racing treatment. The aero kit includes a front splitter with a copper-finished chin, a matching rear bumper extension, deeper side skirts, and mirror caps with chrome accents.
The Crown Sport already comes equipped with 21-inch wheels as standard, but Modellista offers its own flashier design called “Wing Dancer” in a bi-tone finish. These additions give the SUV an appearance closer to that of a hatchback, emphasizing its aggressive features, although some may consider it a bit excessive.

Besides the typical Modellista-branded door handle protectors and license plate security bolts, the company offers a neat seat cushion that doubles as a stylish tote bag. While we can’t say for sure how comfortable it will be when loaded with items, it certainly boasts an attractive appearance, featuring seat-like materials and stitching. It’s worth noting that this accessory is not limited to the Crown Sport and seems compatible with a wide range of vehicles. Additionally, Modellista provides privacy glass for the rear windows.
No mechanical or chassis enhancements have been made to the Toyota Crown Sport Hybrid, which delivers a combined output of 231 hp (172 kW / 234 PS) directly from the factory in its self-charging hybrid configuration. For those seeking improved performance, the plug-in hybrid model, slated to debut in December 2023, is expected to offer even more power.
According to the online catalog, the cost for a painted Modellista aero kit in Japan is ¥258,500 ($1,734), with an additional ¥17,600 ($118) for the mirror caps, ¥27,500 ($185) for the privacy glass, and ¥286,000 ($1,919) for the 21-inch wheels. As for the “smart cushion tote bag”, it’s listed at ¥9,900 ($66).
