The teaser campaign for the Renault Kardian is heating up as the company has provided a revealing look inside.
Set to debut on October 25 in Rio de Janeiro, the “urban SUV” will have a classy cabin with a “clear focus on quality and technology.” The company is keeping details under wraps, but confirmed the crossover will be equipped with a freestanding 8-inch infotainment system. We can also see what appears to be a digital instrument cluster, but that remains unconfirmed at this point.
Putting screens aside, the Kardian will have a three-spoke steering wheel with a prominent Nouvel’R logo. Elsewhere, there are slender air vents, a minimalist “e-shifter,” and climate controls that appear to feature integrated displays.

Renault didn’t have much to say about the cabin, but the crossover will have a Multi-Sense system that enables drivers to select ambient lighting settings and driving modes to match their mood.
The Kardian is a B-segment crossover and will kick off a “new product offensive outside Europe.” Previous teasers have shown the model will have curvaceous bodywork, an angular rear window, and slender taillights with three-dimensional accents.
While Renault is playing coy, the Kardian is expected to be based on the Dacia Sandero Stepway. As part of the transformation, the car is slated to have unique front and rear ends as well as some other minor updates.
We’ll learn full details later this month, but Renault promised to use the Kardian’s unveiling to “present its international game plan.” The automaker also announced plans to introduce a mysterious new concept at the event as well.
