Stellantis is looking to grow its commercial vehicle business thanks to a new strategic offensive known as Pro One.
The company noted they sell 1.6 million commercial vehicles annually and they’re important to the bottom line as they account for one-third of Stellantis’ net revenues. That’s a sizable chunk and the company wants to double their commercial vehicle net revenues by 2030.
In order to achieve that goal, the automaker will embrace electrification and launch an assortment of new models. Speaking of the latter, Stellantis’ European brands will unveil a “fully renewed van lineup” on October 23. They’ll have “second-generation zero-emission powertrains, a unique hydrogen solution, full connectivity, and top-level autonomous driving assistance systems.”

On the other side of the Atlantic, Stellantis’ lineup will be “reinvigorated” with electrified vans and pickups. The Ram ProMaster EV will be unveiled later this year, while there will be “four electrified pickup trucks over the next two years” as part of a North American offensive.
The company didn’t go into many specifics, but said models will include the Ram 1500 REV as well as a “new hydrogen solution to come.” The other two models are more mysterious, but one might be the previously announced Ram 1500 REV XR, which has a range-extending engine. However, a previous teaser suggested the company might be talking about small trucks for Mexico.
Getting back to vans, the company said we can expect a large, factory-built delivery van that has “equipment and features aimed at improving [the] efficiency of drivers.” Among the highlights are a pocket door and a roll-up door out back.
Stellantis is also eyeing €5 ($5.2 / £4.3) billion in revenue thanks to digitalization and connectivity. In particular, the company is looking to charge businesses and fleets for services such as maintenance monitoring, eco-drive coaching, and task / charge management software.
