Each and every 2018 Porsche 911 GT2 RS is special but one of the most remarkable examples ever manufacturer has just appeared for sale in the United States. The car has an eye-watering price tag of $599,995 but that’s not too bad when you factor in the dramatic paint job.
Immediately differentiating this 911 GT2 RS from every other example on earth is the fact that it is the only one painted in Chromaflair Explosive Gold. Porsche introduced five ‘Chromaflair’ colors a few years ago, consisting of Phyton Green, Urban Bamboo, Explosive Gold, Magic Magenta, and Shifting Carbon. Each of these colors is thought to cost over $100,000 and of them all, Explosive Gold is perhaps the most dramatic.

Graham Rahal Performance in Brownsburg, Indiana is selling the car. Its listing notes the GT2 RS has only been driven 2,450 miles (3,942 km) since new and you’ll immediately notice the car has the optional Weissach package which added extra pieces of carbon fiber, titanium, and a set of magnesium wheels. The listing doesn’t provide any details about the car’s ownership history but one can only hope that the stunning paint is protected by PPF or at the very least, a ceramic coating.
Ensuring that the gold paint isn’t overbearing are a host of carbon fiber accents, such as the stripes on the hood and roof as well as the gloss carbon fiber on the engine cover and rear wing. The magnesium wheels are painted matte black and sit over a set of gloss black brake calipers with gold Porsche lettering.
For as wild as the exterior of the 911 GT2 RS is, the interior is relatively subtle. Black Alcantara adorns the center of the seats, center console, steering wheel, and lower dashboard while a combination and black leather and carbon fiber covers the rest of the interior surfaces. Gold contrast stitching is also found throughout the cabin.
