One surefire way to give any crossover an added dose of coolness is by outfitting it with a set of off-road wheels and tires. Unplugged Performance wants to allow owners of the Model Y do just that, while also making their EV more competent off-road, thanks to beadlock capability.
The tuning company has introduced its UP-03 Beadlock wheels, specially crafted for the Tesla Model Y. These 18-inch forged aluminum wheels offer two mounting options: one for securing the bead for off-road adventures and another for standard tire mounting, ideal for DOT-compliant, emissions-free highway driving.
“We’re proud to unveil our UP-03 Beadlock wheels,” said Unplugged Performance CEO, Ben Schaffer. “They are a testament to the design and functionality that defines Unplugged Performance. These wheels represent our full support of uncompromised off-roading and overlanding car culture.”

Unplugged Performance offers two mounting points for tires. The outer point allows for compatible tires to be mounted and securely locked in place using titanium hardware. This setup permits running the tires at pressures as low as 5 psi, enhancing their contact patch and grip.
The inside mounting point is not beadlocked, which allows owners to drive on the highway while fully complying with DOT regulations. That means that, unlike with other beadlock-style wheels, you actually get the look and benefit of locking your tires in place.
The wheels are made of forged aluminum and the spokes utilize I-beam construction, which helps make them strong and light. That will help them stand up to any impacts they might encounter on the trail.
Available in Satin Black or Satin Titanium, the wheels are prices at $1,123.75 each, meaning that a set of four will cost you $4,495.
