Dacia is about to unveil the all-new third generation of the Duster on November 29, but what appears to be an official video has surfaced on YouTube a day early, giving us a first look at the new styling of the popular SUV and confirming a self-charging hybrid powertrain option.
The new Dacia Duster inherits all of the styling cues of the Bigster concept, which is expected to reach production by 2025 as the Duster’s bigger sibling. Similarities include the slimmer headlights, the shape of the greenhouse, the triangular taillights, and the boxy fenders. The generously sized skid plates and the characteristic “snorkel” on the front doors, communicate the adventurous character of the model, which looks more rugged than its predecessors.

The new Duster will reportedly grow in size, improving interior space and practicality. After all, those are among the biggest selling points of the Duster alongside its off-road credentials and affordable pricing.
Keeping in line with the rest of the Dacia model range, the new Duster will ride on the CMF-B architecture. Besides the turbocharged gasoline powertrains, the third-generation Duster will also be available with electrified options. While most versions will be FWD, it is safe to assume that Dacia will also offer an AWD option for the new Duster.
The Hybrid 140 trim which appears in the video, will likely mirror the Renault-sourced self-charging hybrid setup found in the Dacia Jogger. This comprises a naturally aspirated 1.6-liter engine and dual electric motors with a combined output of 138 hp (103 kW / 140 PS). Power is transmitted to the front axle via a multi-mode gearbox, while energy from regenerative braking is stored in a 1.2 kWh battery pack.
We’ll delve into all the details about the 2024 Dacia Duster after the official presentation tomorrow. In the meantime, you can get a sneak peek at its fresh design by checking out the video below.
