Adidas has a big surprise for Bugatti fans who love soccer. The sports apparel and footwear giant launched a new limited-edition soccer shoe in collaboration with Bugatti, limited to 99 pairs for the entire world.

The Adidas X Crazyfast Bugatti shoes are said to be “engineered for speed and lightness”, with a number of Bugatti references in their design. The most noticeable is the Bugatti Blue shade combined with black, a dark mesh on the Adidas emblem, and a pattern with the insignia of Ettore Bugatti on the rear quarter. Look underneath and you’ll notice a carbon fiber inlay, similar to those found in Bugatti’s hypercars. Also included are the signature phrases of Adidas (“Impossible is Nothing”) and Bugatti (“Create the Incomparable”). Finally, the shoe box is unique to this model, with a design inspired by weaves of carbon fiber.

As hinted at by their name, the shoes are based on the widely available Adidas X Crazyfast, inheriting all of their technologies designed to help soccer players make the best out of their game. Among the features are the lightweight Speedframe sole plate, the Aerocage lining for support and stability, and the Aeropacity Speedskin single-layer breathable monomesh.

Of course, not many people will be wearing the Bugatti-themed footwear to play soccer, with most pairs likely ending up being preserved as collectibles or flipped for profit. Still, Nick Craggs, General Manager and Senior Vice President of Adidas Football revealed that the shoes “are due to be unveiled on the pitch for the first time exclusively by Rafael Leao and Karim Benzema in November 2023” meaning that we will actually see them in action.

Due to the ultra-limited availability of 99 pairs, Adidas and Bugatti will offer them via an auction. Interested parties can visit the Adidas Collect Web 3 platform, where the auction will be running between November 8 and 11. The lucky winners will receive an “exclusive digital shoebox” so they can redeem the actual pair from November 13. It will be interesting to see the prices of those pairs on the second-hand market, which are expected to be much higher than the €260 ($274) of the standard Adidas X Crazyfast.
