BMW‘s fully electric range is set to grow in the next few years, with the latest insider information revealing more about the upcoming models and their respective lineups. The Bavarian automaker will reportedly roll out a new i3 sedan (electric version of the 3-Series), alongside the iX3, iX4, and iX5 SUVs.

According to a credible BMW insider on the Bimmerpost forum, the next-gen i3 (NA0) and iX3 (NA5) will be available in 40, 40 xDrive, 50, 50xDrive, and M60 xDrive trims. The closely related iX4 (NA7) will only be available in AWD versions, namely the 40 xDrive, 50 xDrive, and M60 xDrive. Finally, the larger next-generation BMW iX5 (G65) will be reportedly offered in 50 xDrive and M70 xDrive versions.

The BMW iX3 (NA5) will be produced between July 2025 and October 2033, although its introduction to markets outside Europe will be reportedly delayed until spring 2026. The fully electric SUV is said to introduce several features that will find their way into other BMW models. Among those will be the new BMW Panoramic Vision interface which will be included as standard, and multifunction massaging seats. As with all BMW models, the iX3 will benefit from M exterior and interior features. Furthermore, BMW’s Augmented Reality glasses are expected to arrive in the market in 2027.

The insider also shared information about the planned production runs of other models. The BMW X6 will reportedly go out of production on December 27 which is earlier than originally planned (March 2028). Interestingly, the next-gen M5 (G90) which is expected to feature a plug-in hybrid powertrain, will remain in production until February 2031. Finally, the current generation of the BMW 7-Series (G70) is expected to be facelifted in July 2026, while the armored i7 xDrive60 Protection will be available from July 2025.
